About the Transformer Winding Workshop – MATELEC
Completed in 2011 for MATELEC in Ghorfin, a large span streel structure was engineered and installed by Daher Industrial as an identical counterpart to the transformer assembly hall – purpose-built to house the winding department, which handles the critical upstream stage of the transformer manufacturing process.
Matching the assembly hall in structural dimensions, the workshop spans 25 meters across a 3,125 m2 floor area with a 15-meterpeak height, and accommodates four konecranes overhead cranes with a capacity up to 16 tons, providing full coverage across the production floor for the handling of heavy copper windings, coil assemblies, and associated equipments.
Steel portal frames, a roof truss system engineered for multi-crane dynamic loads, and integrated crane runway beams deliver a high-capacity, process-ready environment built to the same standard as the facilities it servers – demonstrating Daher Industrial’s ability to replicate complex industrial structures at scale with consistent engineering precision.
