About the Plasma Cutting & CNC Workshop – MATELEC
Completed in 2008 for MATELEC in Ghorfin, a 800 m2 single span streel structure built to consolidate MATELEC’s heavy metal sheet processing operations under one roof, housing a large-format plasma cutting machine, a CNC machining area, and a dedicated lathing zone, alongside the heavy steel sheet inventory that feeds the production line.
Spanning 12 m with a 6.3 Tons DEMAG overhead crane serving the full floor area, the structure was engineered to handle the combined static loads of heavy inventory storage and the dynamic loads of continuous crane operation.
Steel portal frames, corrugated roof and wall cladding, and an integrated crane runway deliver a lean, functional industrial envelope precisely matched to the demands of a high throughput metal processing workshop.
