About the Twin-Hoist Double-Girder Overhead Crane – DiaMetal, Mekalles
Supplied and installed in 2007 for DiaMetal in Mkalles, this double-girder overhead crane was engineered and installed by Daher Industrial on an existing top-running runway spanning 50 meters.
The crane is equipped with two independent 5 Ton DEMAG hoists on a single girder, a twin-hoist configuration that delivers both 10 Ton tandem lifting capacity and the flexibility of independent hook positioning, allowing operators to handle loads of varying sizes and wights across the full 13.53 meter span with greater precision and operational versatility.
With a 11 meter lifting height and overload protection on both hoists, the system was installed rapidly within the live fabrication facility, minimizing production downtime and demonstrating Daher Industrial’s capability to execute technically precise crane installations in active industrial environments.
