About the 15,000 m² Industrial Steel Structure Compound , Amchit
Matelec Group — one of Lebanon’s largest and most established industrial conglomerates, with operations spanning power transformers, electrical infrastructure, and heavy industry — commissioned Daher Industrial to engineer, fabricate, and install a series of large-scale steel structure hangars at their main compound on
Ghorfine Main Road, Amchit, Jbeil District. The project encompassed a total of 15,000 m² of industrial-grade steel structures, purpose-designed to house and support overhead crane systems with capacities exceeding 100 tons — among the most demanding structural load requirements in the Lebanese industrial sector. Each hangar was engineered with a 36-meter clear span, providing unobstructed interior space suited to the movement and operation of heavy lifting equipment within Matelec’s power transformer production and storage operations. The entire structural system was designed, fabricated, and installed using full bolt-and-screw assembly techniques, ensuring structural precision, long-term integrity, and compliance with international engineering standards.
All structural calculations and design work were carried out by DICO’s engineering department prior to fabrication, with site installation managed and supervised end-to-end by our team.
The Matelec compound project remains one of the most technically demanding and large-scale commissions in DICO’s portfolio, and stands as a direct reference for our capability in heavy industrial steel structure engineering.
